Welcome The Site Dedicated To The Hard Fought Matches Between Bitter Enemies, The Mighty 'Jcb' and the 'Average Joes'.
The matches started in the old days, when both jcb's and joe's were young. The early matches were contested, on the jcb home patch, at the Jesmond Centre. These matches were fierce and were very even, the jcb usually played better. The first ever Jcb team was; Myself, Graeme' The Gunner' Micheal, Eric Michael Potts, Michael' Big Toe' Watson and Chris Brown. The games soon moved to a new venue called Strikers. Strikers, to this date, has never been great to the Jcb's, who have lost a large majority of games, leaving the Jcb trailing in the series. As strikers is a 7-a-side affair Neil Gallager and Chris Scott were drafted in to fight the cause. As time went by Graeme Michael and Chris brown were left to only provide, somewhat, cameo appearences for the Jcb's with the likes of, ever reliable, Gary Copland and the ever present Ryan' Soccer' Reid taking more permanent roles for the team. Many other players have played, some well, some not, and all have had the spirit that no other team has, the Jcb spirit. This 'Never Say Die' attitude has won the Jcb players many peoples hearts and also a few, rare, wins at Strikers. |

Important Information
The name 'JcB' has a long and proud heritage. many years ago two young men founded an organisation called the Jesmond Circle Boys. Time passed and the JcB looked as if it had died but a group of fine young men started using the name. As these members enjoyed the number one sport, obviously football, they started a team, called the JcB. As another group was not in the limelight they started their own team, later to be called the Average Joes. And with this the rivalry was born. |

Yes, That really is the joe's captain |
The Joe's
The Average Joes team captain goes my the name of Mr. Darren Gilbert. Mr Gilbert has always had the knack of assembling great Joe's teams, much to the anguish of the JcB captain Mr Hepburn. For many years it has been no secret that the Joes consist of highly skilled individuals who band together to make excellent teams. The Joe's rely on Micheal' The Chief' Westwaters, Michael' syke' Cocker, Kyle' The Tree' MacKenzie, Martain' Super MJ' Johnston, Liam Shearar and Andrew' Mo' Morrison.
With most of the Joe's team on, a reported, £30,000 a week and a £2,000 win bonus it is almost impossible fo the JcB to compete at times.

The JcB have however purchesed players. Graeme Forbes was brought in during the January transfer window two seasons ago for a fee, believed to be in the region of £1M. Talking about transfers, Manchester United have offered £50M for the services of Neil Gallager and Michael Hepburn with Chelsea coming in for Chris Scott for an undisclosed fee.
The JcB manager has spoken about the speculation at this point saying;
"All of the players in question have at least a year of their contracts to run. Gallager, Hepburn and Scott are integral members of the team and if the club is to move forward they must be re-signed to ensure their commitment." |
